INFORMATION
Removing the 2100 Flo-Lab top from the cart
AFFECTED MODEL: Flo-Lab 2100

Tools needed:  Phillips head screwdriver, ability to lift approximately 40 lbs.

Flo-Lab

First you must unplug and remove the monitor from the mounting bracket that secures it to the top of the cart.  Next, unplug the four cables that are located on the back of the Flo-Lab underneath the handle.  It may be easier to get to the cables if you open the back access door.  The back access door is held shut by 3 phillips head screws that run along the back right side of the Flo-Lab.

The cables are (from left to right): Speaker jack, CD cable, Serial cable and power cable.

Press the black keyboard latch to lift up the keyboard.  Remove the two PPG probes and the two doppler probes.

Note: Make sure that when you are putting the top back on, that you connect the 8.3 doppler probe to the left two inputs marked DOPPLER HI and the 3.9 probe to the inputs marked DOPPLER LO.

Remove the four screws that hold the Flo-Lab top onto the cart.  The two towards the front of the cart are regular phillips head screws.  The two in the back are under a plastic cap. The cap must be removed to access the rear screws.  These screws only loosen, they will not come out.

Now your top can be lifted from the cart.  Grab the back handle and pull up firmly to release it from the cart. You should now be able to get your hand under the front portion of the top to lift it off.  The top weighs approximately 40 pounds.  Make sure to lift properly to prevent back injury.

To install your loaner, exchange or repaired top, perform this process in reverse.
