Time Zone update for Microsoft Windows
AFFECTED MODELS: All computerized Mini-Lab and Flo-Lab Systems

Starting in the spring of 2007, daylight saving time (DST) start and end dates for the United States will transition to comply with the Energy Policy Act of 2005.  DST dates in the United States will start three weeks earlier, at 2:00 A.M. on the second Sunday in March. DST will end one week later, at 2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in November.

The Parks Sonova and VIP software does not directly perform any mathematical calculations that refer to Daylight Savings time, and the date and time is inherited from Windows.

If your Flo-Lab runs Windows XP, please go here to download the update from Microsoft addressing the time zone change (Article ID 931836).  Due to licensing restrictions, we cannot provide the download file from here, and you will need to visit Microsoft's page to download the update.  This will also require you to validate your copy of Windows XP.

Customers running Microsoft Windows 2000 or older (Windows 2000, 98 or 95) will not be able to download free updates for the time zone change from Microsoft.  You can go here for the official statement from Microsoft detailing the end of support for Windows 98.

NOTE: There are now some third-party updates available for Windows 98 and Windows XP users.  While these are known to work, they are not supported by Parks as they are not official Microsoft updates.  You will need to contact the author of these patches if they fail to work for you.
